Today Annabel turned 2 weeks old and she had her first appointment with her pediatrician. Overall her check up went well. The doctor put her on a different type of formula that is supposed to help with colitis since often times babies have an allergy to the protein in regular formula. We think that is what was causing some blood in her stool, also.
The doctor is also going to refer us to a cardiologist so that we can see how her ventricular septal defect (a hole connecting the chambers of her lower heart) is doing. Her breathing and eating have been going well, so the heart issue is primary issue that concerns us.
